Direct and Community Based Services
Summary of Program: Investigates referrals of child abuse and neglect and protects children at serious risk, and refers children and families to services. Works with Juvenile Court, Mental Health, and other agencies to keep families together or reunite them, if possible. Provides protective supervision to children in their own homes. Provides services to children in custody. Sex Abuse Unit is a specialized investigations unit. Sobriety Treatment and Recovery Team (START) is a specialized chemical dependency unit. Provides visitation for families.

Resources and Placement Services
Summary of Program: Recruits, trains, conducts home studies for prospective foster and adoptive parents. Teaches independent living skills to 16-18 year old children in our custody. Finds alternative care for children in our custody, adoption services for children in Permanent Custody, and provides a variety of supportive services.

Summary of Program: Media and public relations, Speakers Bureau, public education, liaison for legislators, and investigates complaints from citizens and legislators regarding the agency.
